About the Case
The claims for damages of Daimler AG shareholders in connection with AdvoFin’s litigation funding offer are based on a series of false and omitted information by Daimler AG. In February 2016, under pressure from the German Federal Motor Transport Authority, the company admitted that exhaust gas defeat devices were used in the sold passenger cars. No ad hoc announcement was made in connection with this fact.
In fact, according to the German Federal Ministry of Transport, Daimler AG used impermissible defeat devices in its diesel vehicles. According to the Federal Ministry of Transport on June 11, 2018, 774,000 vehicles in Europe alone are affected by this.
